Join us to reconnect with your love of dance, build strength, and enjoy the community of fellow adult dancers.
Dance classes are great and offer many health benefits, including building strength, agility, flexibility, brain health, and fitness. They also nourish your soul, providing a positive and filling your soul.
TDA Del Mar is proud to offer a variety of adult classes at our studio. Our Adult classes are open level (unless otherwise specified) and we welcome dancers of all experience levels and ages to our classes.
From beginners to advanced, and everyone in between, we invite you to stop by for a class and share our love of dance!
Adult classes are all $30 for drop in lessons, or $250 for a class package of 10 lessons. If you would like to join one of our adult classes, please go through our register button and create a free account with us – you can then add yourself to the classes you would like at no charge until you come to the studio and sign in for your class.

Welcome to Adult Tap! A blend of rhythmic percussion and fun filled dancing, Tap is the worlds first American dance style created in the early 1900's from a blend of traditional Irish & African rhythmic dancing. In the modern day, Tap spans from percussive performance, to Broadway, and beyond! Adult Int/Adv Tap will take the foundations of Tap technique and work up through more complex choreography and rhythms, and make sure you have a blast & work out your body and mind along the way. We welcome adult dancers of all ages, and encourage modifications as needed throughout class for each individuals ability level.

Silver Swans® classes have been specifically designed for the over 55s, but whatever your age, if you are looking for a new way to keep fit and active, our ballet classes will put a spring in your step. The RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) has developed this program based on research into dance practice for adult learners, and our classes are taught by Silver Swans licensees who have been trained by the RAD. Get ready to move and sweat in our high-energy Adult Hip Hop class! This open-level class is perfect for all adult dancers who are looking to have fun, stay active, and learn fresh choreography in a supportive and upbeat environment. Each week features a dynamic warm-up, rhythm and coordination drills, and combos set to the latest tracks and classic hits. Expect a feel-good vibe, a great workout, and a boost of confidence as you let loose and express yourself through movement.

Adult dancers are welcome to wear any activewear that is comfortable and they can move freely according to style of the class

If you do not currently own jazz or ballet shoes, you are welcome to wear socks to class. All Tap classes require Tap shoes. Hip Hop classes will use a pair of sneakers. -
No worries at all! Our adult classes are designed for beginners and people of all skill levels. You don’t need any prior dance experience to join – we’ll guide you every step of the way. Our instructors are supportive and patient, and they focus on building your confidence and skill at your own pace. It’s a fun, welcoming environment where you can learn, grow, and enjoy the process of dancing, no matter where you start!

We offer options to catch up, whether that’s attending another class during the week, reviewing class material through videos or notes, or working with your instructor for a personalized session. Just let us know, and we’ll make sure you stay on track with your progress!
